The Tartu City Day gala concert is dedicated to the Estonian Year of the Book and invites the audience on a grand musical journey through books connected to Tartu.

Alongside many beloved stories, the Year of the Book anthem “Kiri algab” composed by Mari Kalkun will also be performed, featuring a special orchestral arrangement by Tauno Aints for Tartu City Day.

Taking the stage are musician, singer and composer Jarek Kasar, soprano Maria Listra, singer-songwriter Mari Kalkun, Säde Vatalin (Laulustuudio Tähe Viis), Loviise Mäesalu (Tartu Karlova School), the vocal chamber ensemble Vox pUNT, and conductor Mihhail Gerts with the Pärnu City Orchestra.

After the concert, Maris Pihlap will be selecting music from the DJ booth.
