Integration

Tartu Midsummer’s Day is part of a project promoting integration. The goal of the event is to bring together people from different backgrounds living in Tartu, as well as friends who are temporarily in the city, to experience and discover Estonian Midsummer traditions together. People of all languages and cultures are welcome – Tartu Midsummer’s Day is a place where everyone can feel like home.

The event is part of the Estonian Centre of Folk Culture’s activities within the European Social Fund and Ministry of Culture (ESF-KUM) program “Supporting Community Activities that Promote Integration”.

Transport and Parking

We encourage everyone to come to Tartu Midsummer’s Day in an environmentally friendly way – by bike, public transport, or on foot. This way, you do good for both yourself and the environment.

  • For those arriving by bike, there is a bicycle parking area near the A-entrance of the Estonian National Museum, as well as an additional area for city bikes and Bolt scooters (see area map). There is also an official bike-share parking station nearby. Please do not bring bicycles or scooters into the event area.

  • Public transport is a convenient option, with buses No. 7 and 25 running on the weekend schedule during Midsummer.

  • Those arriving by car can park in the A and B parking lots of the Estonian National Museum (see area map), following on-site instructions. Please leave the driver’s contact information on the windshield so organizers can reach you quickly if needed.
