Tartu celebrates the 108th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia with traditional events in the Old Town, welcoming all residents of Tartu and friends of the city!

– Speeches will be given by Tõnis Lukas, Chair of the Tartu City Council, and Priit Tamm, Chaplain of the Tartu Unit of the Defence League

Estonian flag honoring ceremony and speeches
– Speeches by Tartu Mayor Urmas Klaas, Chair of the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County Jarno Laur, Dean of the Tartu Deanery Kristjan Luhamets, and Vice-Chair of the Estonian Students’ Society Ervin Otto Prank
– Performances by Tartu Academic Male Choir, Estonian University of Life Sciences Male Choir Gaudeamus, Tartu Male Choir Academic Emajõgi, Haaslava Male Choir, and Estonian Forest Workers’ Male Choir Forestalia
– Wind music by the Tartu Wind Orchestra
The event is hosted by Maria Annus.
After the ceremony, the Tartu Observatory will be open to visitors until 1 PM with a discounted ticket of €3. Entry is free for children up to 8 years old and for Museum Card holders.
