The City Day bike tour will take you through Tartu on bicycles to get to know the churches named after the patron saints of the city, Peeter and Paulus, as well as other older and newer sanctuaries.

The joint ride dedicated to Tartu City Day was inspired by Tartu’s patron saints. The ride starts and ends at the pink window of European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, at Tartu Town Hall Square. Gathering 15 minutes before the start of the bike tour.

Tartu Cyclists Union (Tartu Rattaliiklejate Selts) is a non-profit organization established in the summer of 2023, the purpose of which is to encourage cycling and promote cycling culture, and thereby also create a human-scale and environmentally sustainable traffic environment and urban space.

From the fall of 2023, the association organizes weekly group rides called “Cycling Tuesdays”, where you can ride through the city in a nice company. The aim of the rides is to keep the riders in the cityscape, share interesting trajectories, experiences and observations and encourage more and more people to travel by bicycle.

The event starts and ends in front of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 pink frame on the Town Hall Square.
