Tartu sounds beautiful!

On June 29, Tartu City Day will be celebrated with a rich cultural program. The City Day main program and the gala concert are FREE for everyone!

Tartu City Day Gala Concert “Kirjanduslinna kõla”

This year’s gala concert is dedicated to the Year of the Estonian Book and invites listeners on a grand musical journey through books connected to Tartu. Among many beloved stories, the concert will feature the official Year of the Book anthem “Kiri algab”, composed by Mari Kalkun and specially arranged for orchestra by composer Tauno Aints for City Day.

Taking the stage are musician, singer and composer Jarek Kasar, soprano Maria Listra, singer-songwriter Mari Kalkun, Säde Vatalin (Laulustuudio Tähe Viis), Loviise Mäesalu (Tartu Karlova School), the vocal chamber ensemble Vox pUNT, and conductor Mihhail Gerts with the Pärnu City Orchestra.
