On December 14, the annual Winter Folk Dance Day will take place in Tartu, bringing together hundreds of folk dancers and folk culture enthusiasts in the Town Hall Square. Groups can register for the event until November 15.

The repertoire includes familiar dances and some traditional ones that have not been performed at the dance day before. The program features dances like Pikk-ingliska, Kadrel from Setomaa, as well as Krakovjakid and Perekonnavalss. This time, the artistic director of the dance day is Raul Markus Vaiksoo, and the dances will be accompanied by musicians from the Folklore Club Maatasa.
